Since Tea-Adventure is aware of the relative 'newness' of this tea for people outside China, they decided to offer a whole range of this great organic Tieguanyin, all from the same biological teagarden of family Lin in the mountains of Zhangzhou. Everything on this planting base is organized for one thing: making the best organic tieguanyin. After a long time of preparing and working together with both government parties and research institutes, they succeeded in producing a fantastic organic tieguanyin, free from any pesticide or chemical fertilizer. Since we go often to this tea garden, we can confirm that this tea garden is managed in a sustainable way. The tea farm covers a land area of almost 387 acres, in which is an organic tea planting base is developed of 62 acres. The annual output of this tea farm is around 30 tons high quality, organic tieguanyin. Tea-Adventure can proudly announce that we have an agreement with this tea-farm to sell their best tieguanyin teas. Tea-Adventure has the honour to sell this Tieguanyin outside China. They can deliver in any quantity and give as well the possibility to visit the tea garden for our customers. Tieguanyin is one of China's top 10 teas and belongs to the group of Oolong teas. Oolong (or Wulong) is one of the most popular teas in the southeast of. Oolong tea is different from other varieties of tea, since it is just partially oxidized. This very difficult process leads to many unusual and great flavors, which combine the taste and color of black and green tea. Oolong tea is divided into a green oolong and dark oolong. The most famous example of the green oolong is the tie guan yin tea (or goddess tea) and the most famous example of the dark oolong is the Da Hong Pao, which is a Wuyi rock tea from the Wuyi mountains. Yet Oolong tea is not too popular in Europe and North America, but we expect that this will change over the next years. If you taste this tea, you will understand why this tea is so popular in China and why people are willing to pay thousands of euro's for the best grades. The special bronze wiredraw grants the coarse surface, particularly suited to absorb condiments. The prolonged drying process at low temperatures keeps the precise nutritional characteristics of the raw material unaltered, along the whole scrupulous production cycle. Fields follow at least a 5 years rotation with leguminous, cereals, grass, tomatoes and vegetables. Fields are cultivated without using any chemical substances, only with organic products, all gathered from plants or animals. This due to the fact that a well kept terrain, paying attention to rotations and the quality of manures, rows plants that matures without additional help. The final result is due to the implementation of a rigorous organic farming application.
